Lynda Potter will be the featured artist of the Society of Bluffton Artists Gallery from May 4 to May 30.
“Quintessential Bluffton” will showcase Potter’s latest collection of floral and architectural paintings. This body of work captures the centuries-old live oaks, the history of old homes and gardens, and the quaint character of Old Town.
Potter paints in water media — watercolor and acrylics — and has lived and painted in Bluffton for over 25 years. She was one of the founding members of the Society of Bluffton Artists and served as its first president from 1994 to 1996.
Refreshments, Potter’s exhibit, and the work of over 100 other member artists will be at the opening reception May 8 from 5 to 7 p.m.
The SOBA Gallery is open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is at the corner of Church and Calhoun streets in Bluffton.
