Born in the Florida wilderness as it was in the day, I spent my early childhood exploring the lush forests and ponds surrounding my grandparents orange grove and plant nursery. Days were spent high up in a live oak tree observing wildlife and birds around and below me. I developed an early love of drawing and painting in response to what I observed in nature. In high school art was my passion, I won a small contest and the prize was a week internship at a large department store art department. This fueled my passion for fashion design and I attended a commercial art school after graduation to pursue this career. I was always a lover of cool clothes and especially elaborate shoes. I worked in the commercial art field for a number of years.
