Learn how to express emotion and thoughts on canvas or board. There is a method of dealing with color to express an idea or emotion. Learn to create an abstract idea by relating to what that idea means to you in color or design. There is not “right” or “wrong” way to create abstract art — it’s purely transferring your feelings in paint, color and gesture. Mary Ann Browning Ford is a long-time artist, naturalist and teacher for over 28 years.

- canvas or artboard, 12×16 inches (any dimension in between);
