In this three-hour watercolor workshop, students will create a delicate arrangement of airy blue flowers with graceful, flowing stems and foliage. Marie will demonstrate how to use loose, expressive brushstrokes to capture the movement and character of the flowers without relying on detailed outlines.
Students will explore wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques, color blending, expressive line work, negative space, and the beauty of leaving areas of the paper untouched. The focus will be on creating a light, spontaneous watercolor that feels fresh and effortless.
Students will learn to embrace the natural movement of watercolor while developing confidence with their brushes and allowing each flower to have its own personality.
Perfect for: Beginner to intermediate watercolor students
