SOBA find a New Home
Help SOBA Find Its New Home
For decades, SOBA has been the creative heart of Old Town Bluffton.
The Society of Bluffton Artists (SOBA) is a non-profit 501c-3 organization. Our gallery and art school have nurtured artists, inspired visitors, and kept Bluffton’s artistic spirit alive.
Now, the building we lease is being sold and when it changes hands,
we must find a Permanent Home.
Home for the Arts
We’re raising funds to purchase a permanent space, ensuring Bluffton always has a place where artists can create, teach, and inspire. Owning our own building means SOBA’s future and Bluffton’s creative heartbeat will never again be at risk.
Our first milestone is $100,000, which will match existing funds and give us the ability to act quickly when the right property becomes available.
Every Gift Matters
Every contribution, large or small, brings us closer to a secure future for the arts in Bluffton.
If you believe in the power of creativity…If you want Bluffton’s artistic energy to remain right here in our community…Join us.
Help SOBA find its new home.
Together, we’ll ensure that artists continue to create, exhibit, and inspire for generations to come.

Who We Are
What We Do
A Bluffton Icon
For more than two decades, the Society of Bluffton Artists has been an icon of Bluffton’s creative spirit and small-town charm. More than just a gallery, SOBA has helped shape Old Town into a vibrant hub for art, culture, and community connection.
Engaging Youth
SOBA is dedicated to nurturing young artists through hands-on classes, workshops, and exhibits that spark creativity and confidence. SOBA also awards annual scholarships to local high school students pursuing higher education in the arts.
Supporting Local Artists Year-Round
SOBA provides a professional, welcoming space where more than 100 local artists can showcase and sell their work throughout the year. The gallery’s rotating exhibits, community events, and volunteer-driven spirit give artists consistent opportunities to connect with art lovers and grow their audiences, keeping Bluffton’s creative economy vibrant and local.
