Drawing is an artistic skill that can be refined and upgraded to a high degree. The ability to create a sketch or drawing of a person, landscape, bird, or animal requires you to observe the subject, see basic shapes within that subject, and then quickly and effectively sketch those shapes. It’s like putting together a puzzle, one shape at a time. Then you turn on the light with shading whether using graphite, Payne’s gray, or a single color.
