Understanding Values and the Power of Color with Pastels
“Learn how to Paint with Brilliant Color and Texture”
Learn how to make pastels work for you. In the morning, the class will start with a full painting demonstration. You will learn how to crop for stronger compositions, define values, identify your light source, establish a point of focus, and how to expand your use of color to capture luminosity in your paintings. You will also learn how to interpret your reference photographs for painting and understand the relationship between value and color. There will be personalized teaching and individualized feedback throughout the day. 10:00-4:00 with a lunch break. All skill levels are welcome.
