Creative wellness is essential! Allowing space and time for imagination and creative expression supports mental, emotional, and physical health. Join us to refresh and revive body, mind, and spirit with a morning of gentle yoga movement and art on the SOBA lawn. Enjoy the fresh air and a guided outdoor yoga practice, followed by a meditative prompt to inspire reflection and an art journal entry you will create.
No experience needed in yoga or art! All levels are welcome. Bring a yoga mat and a sketchbook. A selection of art supplies will be available to support your creative process during the art journaling segment, such as pencils, pastels, watercolor paints, and more. A sketchbook may be purchased from the instructor before class, if needed ($10).
Your instructor, Samadhi Banks, Ph.D., is a lifelong artist, art professor, and long-time yogi, certifying Yoga Teacher Trainer (E-CYT 500), and Continuing Education Provider for Yoga Alliance (YACEP), as well as a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC).
