Ann Hyde is a abstract impressionist artists inspired by the ocean, marshes, and rivers that surround the Lowcountry. Her art journey began as a child and she received her first commission at twelve. “I painted and drew realistically for many years until a wonderful art teacher challenged me to break out of my excruciatingly detailed works”. Ann works primarily in acrylics and mixed media on canvas and paper. Her paintings invoke the beauty of the ever changing color, light, and shapes on water.
