Icelandic and European craftsmanship passed down to Haldora through her family inspired her attention to detail and set her standards high.
Haldora’s grandmother was an impeccable seamstress, grandfather a precise woodworker, father an accomplished builder and
mother a wildly imaginative painter inspired her passion to create.
After a marriage and raising 2 children Haldora started her own business creating timeless designs for sophisticated women featuring
fashionable styles that travel the globe. Attention to detail, quality and comfortability has been paramount.
Haldora enjoyed working with fabrics, color shaping her designs with a successful business in Rhinebeck, New York.
With a desire to express her creativity she creates a diverse vision on canvas. Her works includes Impressionism, landscapes, abstracts and whatever inspires her.
Over a lifetime, Haldora has worked with watercolor, drawing, mixed media, fabric sculpture, clay, acrylics and oils.
Expressing herself in art is her passion.
Leaving New York she moved to Bluffton, South Carolina in July 2021 to enjoy the visual beauty of the Low Country and a new creative vision painting.
She has studied with Mary Ann Browning Ford and Dan Graziano in recent months who have inspired her desire to work in oils.
Her work is shown at Soba Gallery in Bluffton SC, Beaufort Art Association, Beaufort SC and Sun City Art Club.
