The Society of Bluffton Artists

As a photographer, I am having a love affair with light. I try to capture light’s interaction with the natural world, whether in macro or landscape photography. I experiment with different approaches to capture light. Trained as a biologist, I am drawn to macro and abstract photography and tend to use the camera as a microscope. The concept of using the camera as a paint brush intrigues me. Rather than capture reality, it is fascinating to me to create images that are more painterly, sometimes ethereal, and often abstract.
