Strong Drawings Make Better Oil Paintings Fridays in January with Mickey Boisvert

This class, designed for oil painters, will improve your ability to convey a scene onto the canvas. In week one we refresh with fundamental drawing skills. In weeks two and three we progress to drawing a still life setup in the studio. This allows ample time for fine-tuned looking and seeing as you complete a finished drawing. In the last three weeks of class you will paint the still life using all that you’ve learned. This five-week class is ideal for beginner painters and experienced artists alike. For beginners—this class gives you a clear step-by-step process to prepare to paint, to begin a painting, and to finish a painting. For experienced artists—this class will refresh your drawing skills and aid you in painting from life. Space is limited to 8 students for more personal attention. Sign up early!
