“Suitcase Art” Pop-Up Show — Volunteers Needed

10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, October 14th to kick off the Arts and Seafood Festival

We welcome our Display Members to display their art at the “Suitcase Art” pop-up show. The show will coincide with the Arts and Seafood Festival Sunday, October 14th. We will have a tent with walls on the Calhoun Street lawn for the “Suitcase Art” show and space for artists to paint and sell on the porch and in the Center for Creative Arts building. Join us for this special opportunity to have your own pop up show and market yourself and your art for a minimal cost.

“Suitcase Art” Tent Details:

Paintings submitted for the “Suitcase Art” display should be small with a maximum size of 18″ by 24″. Paintings must be brought to the CCA Friday October 12th between 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. There is no fee to display art in the “Suitcase Art” tent and commissions remain the same as the gallery 35%/65%.

Paint and Sell Details:

Table space rentals are $25.00 each with artists receiving 100% of their sales proceeds (minus 3% SoBA credit card processing fee). Space is limited, first applicants that put their names forward and their payment received will be guaranteed a spot. There are three spots available to paint and sell on the porch and eight in the CCA building. Artists are responsible for both their set up, display, take down and clean up.

Volunteers Needed

Sunday, October 14th

It’s going to take many helping hands to make this wonderful event happen! Volunteers are needed for the following times:

• 9:30 a.m.: Three Volunteers are needed to get the tent and walls from the CCA and set everything up
• 10:00 a.m.: Two Volunteers to display art in the tent and staff until 1:30 p.m.
• 1:30 p.m.: Two Volunteers to staff until 5:00 p.m. and then take down unsold art and put it in the CCA
• 5:00 p.m.: Three Volunteers to take down tent and walls and return all of it to the CCA
