This series of six consecutive weekly beginner classes is designed to give the student the fundamental knowledge and skills to take better photos. Students will work with the camera of choice for hands-on shooting practice during class and between session assignments and weekly in-class “critique” sessions. The class covers a brief history of photography, camera settings, lens types, depth of field, composition, lighting, elements of printing, one photography genre – Landscape and concludes with an introduction to post processing. Students are encouraged to work with their camera’s manual (if the camera has one) during each class. Out-of-class assignments will be given to reinforce class discussion.
