Three full days of painting—working with the white of the paper, creating depth, volume, and the magical blends that only watercolor can provide—it will be fun. It’s not the strength of raw color that provides the magic, but rather the correct values that allow you to capture nature’s most dynamic and subtle palettes. Depending on the light, colors can change dramatically. It can be a daunting experience knowing how to work with light. Colors can change dramatically. Even very intense colors shift as light grows muted and diffused by haze or clouds. And when bright afternoon or morning sunlight illuminates leaves, they can seem almost electric against more muted colors. Let David help you turn on the light in your paintings!
