Exhibit runs from March 5-31 with opening reception from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday March 6
About 100 local artists have entered in Society of Bluffton Artists’ 25th Annual Judged Show, a competition open to all artists in seven medium categories including acrylic, mixed media, oil, pastel, photography, watercolor and 3D.
Cash awards will be given to “Best Of Show,” as well as first, second and third places in each category that has at least seven pieces of art. All the awards are presented during the opening ceremony from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 6 at the SoBA gallery, located at 6 Church Street in Old Town Bluffton. The Judged Show exhibit will be on display from March 5-31 at the gallery.
“SoBA reaches out to artists all over the Lowcountry to participate in the show,” said Gayle Miller, president of the non-profit art organization. “Our goal is to celebrate arts in the community and the Judged Show is a perfect avenue to do that. It’s quite an accomplishment for SoBA as the Judged Show enters its 25th year.”
